Fabric Curtain Tie

Hello My Dear Fellows ...

Once again I am here after a bit busy break, some more family functions, guests and all that etc etc..

Now I am 100 % back to my routine and be with as usual...

I stitched some curtains, cushions and curtain ties as a gift for my mother...

Today I am sharing the step by step tutorial of a Curtain Tie

You need very few things for this

Some mix and match fabric of your choice
And fused buckram

Here you can see I choose three types of fabrics ...
Two fabrics in plain colour i.e one in golden beige and the other is chocolate brown
And one with a floral print

The Golden is 1&1/2" more in width than Brown for overlapping on brown

Cut the fused buckram with the exact size of brown colour fabric

And iron it neatly on the wrong side of fabric, if bit excess than cut it after pressing ...

Now take the floral print strip which is almost half of the width of brown fabric

and double with the length of brown fabric ...

Now start pleating

Like this

Prepare your both ties like this ...

Make a loop and pin it on the both sides of the tie...

Like this

Now you can see that Golden fabric is bit larger than brown ...

Pin it like this and stitched from the wrong side of both the ends ...

Turn the inside out and you have a beautiful Curtain Tie ready to use ...
Now you can well understand that how bit larger fabric comes at front

So here it is the front and back of the Curtain Tie

How it looks ???? Pretty ????

I stitched curtains and matching pillows too...

These are the pillows ... I appliqued them in two different colours and stitched the couch cover...

And the curtains ...

I stitched all those and gifted it to my mother...

in Karachi...

All the renowned designer presented their

We love dresses adorned and embellished with

All are hand embroidered and they took 4 to 5 months...

Brides here in Pakistan wears mostly Red on their first day function

and any other colour on second day function

Hello Dear Friends

Sure mostly of you busy with your

Christmas preparations and enjoying cold weather too

I don't know "What" but I am busy with some

unknown reasons...

I think you understand that

look busy and do nothing...

Sometime it happens, I think mentally I am in planning

of going Karachi to attend the wedding ceremony of

my youngest brother... In fact waiting eagerly for that...

I love to collect empty jams and different glass jars for some other uses...

My son always said Mama is more interested

in the bottles rather than what is in it...

And really it is true ...

So my today's post is about to personalized

the lids of your empty jars

Hmm ? What do you say?

Are they lovely...

Ok lets start the simplest job

What you need...

Some gift wrapping sheets,

mod podge,

And obviously some lids

Mark one circle exact size of your lid

and another a bit larger ...

Cout down the larger circle like this

for easy inward folding

Spread a thin layer of glue on the upper side of lid

And the inner side too

Now put your lid on the smaller circle

Start folding your edges inwards ...

After completing spread a brush of glue inside

Doneeeeeee

Your very own printed lid ...

POSSIBILITIES are...

can use scrape of fabric

print out of your favourite pictures

further paste some labels

etc etc

But I did one thing more

Some free handed

Acrylic paint strokes

Make a pink colour by mixing these two colours

for pink lid bottle

And just paint with a rounded broush for a

random polka dot touch

If you are good in one Stroke Painting

you can go for a rose

( it comes in my mind later )

hmmm...I filled them with my some crystal beads

I like these two and now have many

other ideas in my mind for the rest

What next you can do lets share with all of us

Hello Dear friends! How are you all...

Now a days I am very much interested in sewing and

have so much project which tempt me so much...

As I am going to stitched some curtains, cushions

and a round table cover ...

But my today's project is

CUP CAKES OVEN MITT

They are so cute and can be a beautiful addition

in your kitchen ...

Aren't they cute?

They are so fun to make

I have so many choices with fabric but I love some polka dot
and linings ...

It is not difficult to stitch some for your kitchen...
Stitch some with your combinations...

OK, now lets start the fun

First make a pattern on the paper ...

Cut two pieces of each pattern

So you have two pieces each...

Now join both the right side of the fabric together...
and pin it with polyester sheet ...
i.e backside up and right side in...

Same like with this fabric too

Now stitch it with the edges

This piece too

Both the pieces are stitched and now cut the extra

polyester sheet...

Like this...

Left some space unstitched that you can turn the

inside out

You have like this when you turn inside out...

Close the end and hand stitched them...

Stitch the ends of both the pieces for a neat look...

Now put both the pieces like this and stitched together
with a ribbon on the top for the hanging...

I love these two most

HOW TO ARRANGE FLOWERS

IN A

TALL CRYSTAL VASE

Hello dear fellows ....

How are you , hopefully most of you enjoying snow

and chilled winter season with a hot cup of coffee

with a bit lethargic mood...(at least I a am)

Nowadays I am very busy with the preparation of my

youngest brother wedding ...

Oh yes preparation of Dresses for three day functions...

(the most favourite thing :P )

I design all dresses with the ideas of me and my daughter

Oh sure I will share with you as the come back from tailor...

Wedding is in January and I will go to Karachi ...

So I was busy with all time favourite thing...

Shopping and Shopping

Now come to today's project....

Arrangement of silk flowers in a tall crystal vase ...

It is not necessary that every time you purchased

new flowers...

Just try to dismantle some of your old arrangements

or try to use the some old flowers

for which you think of discarding them ...

Silk flowers are washable and can be as shiny and beautiful

as they are new...

So what we need is

A square piece of Grey Oasis

(grey is for silk flower arrangement and green is for fresh flowers)

Cut the piece a bit larger that it can adjust in the vase

with a tight grip...

Flowers of your choice

and try that the colours should be contrasting

Some foliage of different shapes

Now fix your piece of Oasis in your vase tightly

First arrange the foliage...

You can use different types and shapes for leaves

Now its the turn of your basic flowers to be inserted

in the oasis ... a bit higher than your leaves

Another view...

You can turn your flowers stems

in the direction you want ...

Now I used a lighter tone flowers to enhance

those maroon flowers...

Ohhhh but their stem is too short...

OK... I tied a bare stem with floral wire and tape it

green floral tape ... Now I can place it on my

desired length...

Like this

I arrange that yellowish flowers in the vase too

After inserting in the oasis turn and bend

stems as per you desired shape....

Here you can see that I spread the cream shade

flowers on the sides of the vase...

But I feel it looks bit empty, it needs something more

I have these Fern leaves ...

The same treatment of wire and floral tape

Now I attach four fern leave for a final and perfect touch

They are like falling down from the edges...

Oh another important thing... Hide the oasis ...

I just fill the vase with coloured marbled balls...

But here are many options

Open two or three flowers and fill it with their leaves

You can with little sea shells

With different colourd beads

With artificial moss

So ???? Is it look beautiful ...

Re use your old flowers and leaves and give any corner

a brand new look

Hope you try to create a brand new look to your vases

TRADITIONAL FRIED LENTIL

DUMPLINGS IN YOGURT

Today I am here with a typical traditional dish named

Dahi Barey

Dahi means Yogurt and

Barey are the fried dumplings of two lentils ...

They are Tea Time treat and

you can freeze them after frying for around a month ...

Very easy to serve if you have some unexpected guests at any time

Just put them in hot water for 5 minutes and

press a little that excess water drain out and dip them in yogurt ...

Please check your pantry that you have all these things...

For Dumplings

White ivory lentil ... 1 cup

Mung Bean ... 1/2 cup

pinch of salt

3 clove of garlic

3 fresh green pepper ( optional)

cooking oil for deep frying

Soak both the lentils over night

Now grind them with little water in 3 to 4 batches

include garlic and green pepper at this time

( used the water in which the lentils were soaked)

You have the batter like this

Now you can fry them in two ways...Like this

Simply scoop a table spoon of the batter and carefully

drop down in the hot oil and fry them in low medium heat

until beautifully light golden

Like this

Second method ...

Oil a frying pan a bit and spoon the mixture

in round shape like a biscuit

$ to depending upon your frying pan size ...

leave them on low heat for about 3 to 4 minutes

Or they fried a bit that they can hold their shape ...

Now shift them in a skillet for deep frying

This shape look more beautiful while presenting

Now dip them in hot salty water for two to three minute

In the meantime prepare your yogurt

1/2 liter Yogurt

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon sugar

Whisk them well

Drain out excess water and soak them in yogurt for 5 minutes

In a dish arrange them in this way

Oh it looks so tempting... Now you can understand that

why I am saying that this shape look more presentable ...

Pour remaining yogurt over the dumplings

and set aside for sometime...

They are moist, refreshing and

They can be good appetizer before lunch

I garnish it with sweet and savory tamarind chutney

roasted powder of cumin and coriander seed

For Tamarind chutney

Soak 1/2 cup tamarind in 1 1/2 cup hot water

2tbsp brown sugar

1 tsp salt

1tsp red chilli powder

1 tbsp powder of dried ginger and cumin

Soak tamarind about 1/2 an hour ...

squeeze and strain out juice ...

mix all the ingredients and cook it until moderately thick

cool it and store in an air tight jar in the fridge...

it can be stored upto 3 months ...

Cumin and coriander powder

Roast cumin and coriander seeds in a frying pan

or in microwave... when aroma comes

grind coarsely and sprinkle over the dumplings

Hello my dear friends, how are you all... hope enjoying

and ready for new week ...

All those who stitched always have the scrap of fabric

in which some are very favourite of yours,

you like them so much that like to have even a little piece of it...

Today I am sharing an idea for those little pieces of your

favourite fabrics...

Is this looking beautiful and functional too????

Yes, you can use these little darlings to cover your

bowls and dishes in a beautiful way ...

Some of my scrap fabrics are from

lace, cotton and georgette ...

Some bias tapes

You can use any bowl which you want,

I used this for a bigger cover, marked the circle

and cut it with 1/2" seam allowance ...

These are my four round pieces

Now attached the bias tape roundly with the edge of my lace fabric ...

Like this ... I attached the tape all over the circle

Now close it from another side too ...

Here you can both the sides...

front and back...

I left an opening from the back side for the elastic ...

Thread your elastic in the complete bias tape piping ...

And your little favourite pieces become adorable

bowl covers ...

You can cover your food, fruits or anything

you want to leave on table for someone ...

They are pretty, inexpensive and with a

practical approach...

Aren't they cute?

I always love to participate in her challenges and parties...

Although not every time but Sometimes

I have an opportunity to come and participate in her parties

Which are always a fun like today's

Magazine Copy Cat Challenge

How you can copy from the actual picture

is the basic theme of the party ...

In her post of Friday, October 21, 2011

she posted a picture from Southern Living Mag

Which is my inspiration for today's challenge

The picture is

I always wanted to do a type of Kissing Ball

and I am very thankful to Debb that her challenge party

provokes me to do at least now...

I made some changes in the composition of arrangement

but the basic theme is the same ...

Mine is

I used the floral balls to stand on some my glass candle stands,

instead of a platter...

I made two in contrasting colour and tied a bow on the

neck of each stand

The How To Do is very simple

I am sure all the material you will need already

available in your home ...

Some flowers of your choice ...

the only thing to remember that flowers should be in small in size

Plastic Balls ( very cheap)

Hot glue gun

Cut the flowers from the stem with hardly 1mm length

Like this you have atleast 15 to 20 flower at time

Dont cut all at once that may be you don't need so much ...

After using all , if you need more than cut again

First fit your ball in any Cup or mug...
With that you can have easy access

and more comfortably you can work on it ...

First I glued a flower in the center of the ball

the length of first flower stem is bit high than rest of all ...

Now its turn to glued four flowers equally on the sides
of First flower ...

Make sure that distances between up to down and right to left

is always equal ...
it gives your arrangement a balanced symmetry

otherwise it will look like a mess ...

Here you can see the equal distribution of
four flowers around the center one ...

Now start gluing the third layer

In this layer you will fill the gap of above layer

between the two flowers ...

Like this you can add flowers til your ball has completed

Remember left a little bit from the bottom for the

perfect adjustment of your ball on the candle stand

or any goblet if you want...

Here it is the end result

The second one in contrasting colour

Two of them

Its easy, in expensive and sure a lot of decor for a corner...

In the last once again Iam very thankful to Debb that her

Challenge party make my an old wish comes to reality...

CREATE A CHEERFUL AND SUNNY

COTTON BED SHEET

Hope everyone is enjoying the start of

cold weather... For me its the best part of the year

Neither too hot not very cold ...

Do you love to play with colours ???
I love love it, playing with colours at any medium...
Either on paper, on canvas, or on fabric ...

Today I want to share the experience of

... Screen Printing ...

An amazing way to create very neatly the effect of
painting like printing...

Its a printing technique that uses a woven mesh to support an ink-blocking stencil.
The attached stencil forms open areas of mesh that transfer ink or other printable materials
which can be pressed through the mesh as a sharp-edged image onto a substrate.
A roller or squeegee is moved across the screen stencil,
forcing or pumping ink past the threads of the woven mesh in the open areas.

Things you need for
Screen ... they are readily available and
you can order your design too
Colours ... Screen printing colours commonly available
with the name of screen printing ink
Roller ... normally called squeegee
&
Cotton fabric

Now we start the printing

I designed my screen myself and make two of same pattern
with positive and negative

Now lay your fabric according to the placement of your design and
put the screen on it...
Always remember that every time when you worked with colour
lay a plastic sheet on your working area

Place the colour above your pattern

You can check the colour consistency well here ...
They are thick paste like ...

And now press the roller with tough hands twice on to the pattern
When you roll the roller always do it in the the same way
i.e from upwards to downwards

Hmm its the result when you pull the screen from the fabric...
It takes an hour to dry

I printed two motifs for my 15x15 pillows

And here is the second screen

The result of that pattern ...

I used lemon colour cotton bed sheet with Lime green and Pink
shade for the screening

Here it is an over all picture of the bed sheet ...
All colours are iron fixed but you iron them
after 10 days of printing ...

A detailed look of the pattern and design in which
I printed the bed sheet

It is something very easy and gives you
such a finished look to the fabric ...
The options are unlimited, bed sheets, table cloth
with small motifs napkins, tray covers
T shirts...

I love Bullion stitch and you can see how beautifully it appears,

used the pestle shades on a off-white fabric...

It is baby pink with a some darker tone embroidery

Its a very lovely pattern with bullion roses,

It is not as stitch...

The needle only comes out from the fabric

from different count of thread to make a motif ...

Its an embroidered scarf with

some extra ornamental silver touch

It looks very beautiful and very elegant...

AFTERNOON TEA

WITH

CHEESE STRAWBERRY CAKE

Hello Dear friends... how are you all ???

Hope enjoying the beginning of Autumn...

Autumn afternoons are very pleasant...

Neither very hot nor cold.... just a bit moderate

Today I am here with a Tea table for two with

a very tasty and satisfying cake

Cheese Strawberry Cake

It is very moist, light and very refreshing ...

A touch of strawberry glaze makes it so perfect in taste

that you never take off your hand from it ...

Hello you are invited for a cup of tea with this

delicious treat

Cup of tea in the afternoon with some friendly gossips

I used this very happy paper napkin with a simple tri folding

I love Mugs more than Tea Cups...

I feel it more casual and friendly with friends like you ...

With a very delicate touch I love the pattern on it ...

I am waiting for you to join me for the tea

For all those who cant join me here

I am sharing the recipe of the cake...

You will need

1 1/2 cup butter equivalent to 340 gm on room temperature

2 1/2 cup Sugar

3 cup all purpose flour

Cream cheese 8 oz equivalent or 227 gm

6 large eggs

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp Almond extract

1/2 Vanilla extract

2/3 cup strawberry glaze

Preheat oven at 350F or 180C or Gas mark 4

Mix the flour and baking powder and sieve it and put aside ...

Butter at room temperature

Beat butter until creamy ...

Gradually add sugar and beating until light and fluffy ...

Add cream cheese and beat until once again

become creamy

Add eggs one at a time,

beating just until blended after each addition

Now its turn to add flour,

at low speed add the flour gradually

don't over beat at this stage...

Stir Almond and Vanilla extract

And here you can see the final texture of batter

I don't have the strawberry glaze at that time, so I mix

Strawberry Jam and Strawberry Syrup

Used a 10" tube pan

Pour 1/2 of the batter in the pan ... and than spoon the

strawberry glaze over it and swirl at one direction with a

wooden skewer ... Repeat the procedure for the second layer

(sorry I missed to shot that step)

Bake it around 40 minute or

until your skewer comes out clean after inserting in ...

Your beautiful golden cake

You can dressed it with any topping if desired but

it is so enriched and satisfying in its taste that

I don't topped it with anything ...

Just some colourful sprinklers

Look at the beautiful and tempting touch of

strawberry glaze in every slice of cake

You can use any fruit glaze of your choice ...

Please come and have a cup of tea with me

NEW TABLE CLOTH

Hello dear friends....

I was bit busy from last month or so and that's why

my weekly posts are also bit delayed as per normal routine..

First because of Ramadan (month of fasting) and than

the busy schedule of Eid...

Eid ul Fitar is the gift from God for all those

who fast the whole month only on the name of God...

Its a religious festival and continues three days...

On this Eid I want to make some changes in my dining room...

like I stitched a new table cloth and a runner for my buffet table..

The tablecloth is in five pieces, the basic upper portion

and four sides which I stitched separately...

Here is a closer look of the side penal

I used these four fabric in my project...

What you need is

1. First you measure the top of your table and

cut the fabric with seam allowance

2. Than cut the four hanging side panel of your desired length

( I used the same checked fabric for both, choice is yours)

3. You need to cut four stripes of 2"

a. of a floral print

b. matching plain colour

These stripes are of the same size of

your hanging side panels...

Now start stitching ...

Take the one hanging side panel and lay your two stripes

of floral and plain fabric on it in the above sequence

Here you can understand easily that how I arranged them

i.e...

on the bottom the hanging panel

than the floral fabric

and than the plain colour fabric

Stitched theses three pieces

Now its look like this...

Fold the open edges of both the fabric

with your hand to get a crease

Now fold the orange fabric neatly to the wrong side of the

table cloth to get a little piping touch at the end

Iron them to settle the fabric neatly ...

Now stitched and secure both the the fabric with

the same seam as shown above

Prepare all the four hanging sides of the

table in the same manner

Now close the side ends like this

Now it is the turn to attach all four sided to the

main top part of the table cloth

Stitched corner to corner the prepared hanging panel

to the top part of the table cloth ...

The corners look like this

Here you can clearly see that how the hanging panels

are attached to the top of the tablecloth...

I used a bias tape piping for a bow

to secure both the corners...

Aaaahaaaa ... DONEEEEE

I stitched the same fabric in stripes and block print it

with a floral motif in orange colour...

IN A TIN

HAVE FUN WITH IT

Hello friends...

My this week post is bit late, in fact because of Ramadan

(month of fasting)

I am bit tired and more lethargic, the weather is hot and humid

and the tiredness of fasting it all creates a laziness...

My today's project is a transformation of simple

tin can into a lovely of Pincushion...

BUT before I start the tutorial I want to share something...
If you remember

some posts back I shared with you a
beautiful Shabby Cottage of

She is a very nice soul with her smiling eyes,
a real creativity in herself...

Now from last four days she is in ICU,
doctors diagnosed her with SEPTIC SHOCK

I request all my visitors and readers that please
pray for her health and speedy recovery...
There is nothing more powerful than the
PRAYERS...
GOD Himself said asked Me I will give you...
I am sure our prayers will work
and she will be with her family soon
with complete health...Ameen

OK lets start our today's project...

you can called it

trash to treasure or a transformation of a tin can into a pincushion

What did you say??? Is it beautiful...

Things you need are...

A tin can of mixed fruits

A little piece of fabric of your choice

Some laces and polyester sheet & some filling

And hot glue gun

On the fabric mark a circle, the circle should be big enough

which can cover you tin over all and go 1" inside too...

Cover your tin with polyester sheet with hot glue gun...

Put your tin in the middle of the circled fabric...

Now start covering your tin with the fabric...

glued it a bit inner side of the tin...

when you glued the fabric, remember to make pleats

as shown above ...

The shape will be like this

Now fill your tin with some polyester fillings

Fill it a bit high with the brims of tin
and give it a rounded shape

Now glued another contrasting fabric to cover the filling

and give it a final touch...

Cut the extra fabric to have smooth look

Prepared your laces now ...

I used nylon based eyelet lase and a

white lace with one side edge

Glued the eyelet with another white lace

with equal plates...

And now once again glued the prepared laces

on to your fabric covered tin...

Which will hide the rough edges of fabric...

Add some bow and ribbons to beautify it more

Aaahaan :):)

Your beautiful Pincushion is ready ... hmm just in 20 minutes...

HISTORY

Hello my dear fellows ...

Hope you all are doing fine...

Today I am with you from the pages of History...

Pakistan is the land full of history ...

The ruined civilizations of Taxila,

Mohen jo Daro, Harrapa is in Pakistan...

Today take a tour of

Derawar Fort

a large square fortress in Pakistan near Bahawalpur.

The forty bastions of Derawar are visible for many miles in

Cholistan Desert.The walls have a circumference of 1500 metres

and stand up to thirty metres high.

The fort is around 500 years old...

The first fort on the site was built by Hindu Rajput of Jaisalmer.

It remained in the hands of the royal family of Jaisalmer until captured

and completely rebuilt by the nawabs of Bahawalpur in 1733...

Although the fort is not in good condition now

but I am sure you will enjoy the trip with me...

It is the mosque in Dera Nawab,

the personal residantial mosque of

Nawab... Nawab means the Prince

Look at the work .... it is all on Marble ....

engraved and then filled with colours

It is destroyed by the hands of time but still its beauty

captures you

Its the dome of Mosque... you cant believe on your eyes

when you see the delicacy of the design

A manual cannon ...

Its a beautiful room where Prince sits and see the activities

of his soldiers from a very high level room...

The fort is in the desert and here you can see the

FALL CEILING concept on the roof

Very beautiful floral work on marble

It is the outer wall of grave yard hall where one by one all the

princes laid to rest...

This blue work is the traditional work of this area...

The graves of princes... the little one are of kids...

The roof of this hall is totally engraved with tiny mirror ...

so it simply looks like a Mirror Palace

This separate room is an another grave yard but only for the

ladies of Royal Family...

Even now on one is allowed to go inside other

than their family members...

It is one the place where the royal family lived

It is called Sadiq Garh Palace

It is Gulzar palace, another elegant palace...

Its a little tour from the ancient world and from the pages of history...

A romantic touch of that period...

A very pleasant and busy time I spent there...

I think what to share with you just after such a long break...

I though t and thought and decided to share some shopping glimpses

from there...

Not very expensive or something very unique but

IT IS SHOPPING...

Who can make any woman happy

Am I true:)....

I am in love of jewellery, specially the bangles...

So I always purchased them...

Bangles with red and green semi precious stones

On the very side these are very delicate glass bangles

They are available in all colours to match your dress ...

One of my favourite ear rings...

very traditional in style

It is in silver, coated with gold polish with

Emeralds & Zircon

Nowadays Broaches are in fashion ...

I choose these three...

One of my cutest shopping ...Coffee cup candles...

They smells so perfect and looks so adorable...

The cups are also made of wax ...

Oh I want to share some pictures of Dates Farms too

I came back by road ...

Its a 24 hour journey and we enjoyed a lot...

A road side Dates Farm

Dates are plucked and spread for drying

The brown one are completely ripe and

the yellow are picked bit earlier and they are

very tasty

You can purchase them from direct these farm...

a bit cheap from the market

Karachi Trip

WEDDING VENUE

Hello dear friends...

How are you... hope enjoying Summers...

I am here in Karachi , visiting my mother and enjoying vacations...

In coming December we are planning the marriage ceremony of

my younger brother, so we are searching a appealing and reasonable

venue for the function...

Here I want to share some of the pictures of one which we like most...

It is the stage for Bride and Bridegroom...

The back ground colour can be changed in any colour....

Normally it matches with the dress colour of Bride...

MAGAZINE HOLDER

Hello to all my fellows....

Aahaan my programme is bit delayed and I am still here...

Today I am so happy that I have my 300 followers...

Thanks to all of you who encourages me so much...

Its all yours love and care...

So once again with a DIY project ...

So simple and you don't use anything special for it

Just some scrapes of fabric, any cartoon

and some Mod Podge or white glue and that's all ...

And yes some of your Precious Time...

An organizer made with some trash cartoon

Its a cartoon of Surf detergent

I cut it with a paper cutter and have two of same sizes

Now I draw the exact shapes on the paper

I place the cut out on my fabric

Now these are the covers for the inner part

Spread white glue on the fabric

And paste it in the inner part... one be by one I covered all

the inner walls...

I left it for drying a bit and

in the mean time I cut another fabric pieces

for the outer walls

Again with the same method I pasted the outer wall fabric

Here you can see the the inner and outer both...

You can see the overlapping open edges of

outer fabric in the picture...

Here I used to paste Bias Tape to hide these edges

(sorry I forget to shoot that)

Hmm here it is the end result...

What did you say ...isn't a good Trash to treasure ...

HAPPY PENCIL CASES

Hello dear fellows...

How are you all, so now summer is everywhere with its full bloom

Every where is HOT HOT SUMMER...

And the only thing in summer that I love most are

MANGOES

Do you like them? Here in Pakistan we have more that 80 types of Mangoes

And everyone is different in taste and smell mm mm

Hmm and the second thing...I am going to Karachi for

next two weeks, so it may possible that I cant post for that time...

But I will try to share my trip with you and send you

some pictures of markets, beaches, and some functions...

OK now lets talk about today's project, my today's project is

related to my trip to Karachi

A cute colourful pencil holder for kids...
I made these for my darling nieces...

Three of them love colouring

It can hold some colour pencil and a note book

Very simple and fun to make it and sure kids will love it...

A perfect gift with a personal touch

I used three mix and match fabric for it...

Three of them are of 24 x 45 cm each ...

And the same size of polyester sheet

First pin up one fabric of your choice to the polyester sheet

Than take second fabric, fold it in half length wise
from the center...

And pin up this too

Remember the center fold is on the upper side

as shown in the picture

Now mark straight lines from the tailoring chalk

to make pockets for the pencils and
any note book if you want

Start stitching ...
first of all stitch all the marked lines of pockets

check by inserting a pencil when you stitched some

Now all your pockets are ready

It is the turn to pin up the third and last piece of fabric...

Place the back piece onto the front piece
right sides together.

Sew around the edges using a 1/4 inch seam allowance,
making sure to leave an opening somewhere to turn
it right side out...

I hand sewn this opening after turn it right

Hmm what a little treasure for my darling nieces

I am sure they will love it

I fold it in three step like this

And than this
