RAINBOW CAKE

Hello Buddies...

How are you all, I am sure now its time for Spring, and everyone will be busy in gardening
to welcome this beautiful season...
Its the time of colour, and happiness and hopes of best in coming time
So with that touch of beautiful colours today I am sharing
a recipe of a
Rainbow Cake

Mostly when I searched this term on net, all used the Betty Crocker's white cake...
But here I used my own simple ingredients which are all available in your pantry right now

Things you will need are

16 oz     White flour
14 oz      Castor Sugar ( I always like a bit less sweet)
12 oz      Butter
4 tsp       Baking  Powder
5            Medium sized eggs
2 tsp      Lemon juice
3 oz       Shredded cheddar cheese
Food colours of your choice, I used Gel food colours, but it can be normal liquid food colours...
And when I baked this cake again than I mixed jams of different flavour in each colour
for different taste...

1. Beat the butter and castor sugar until creamy ...

 2. Add one egg with 1 1/2 tbs of white flour and beat ...
consume all eggs and flour like this one by one ...

3. Beat until the batter look like this ...

4. You can see well the consistency of batter ...

5. At this stage I add the shredded cheese and beat again ...

6.  I like to make 3 colour rainbow, so I took 2 tbs of batter in each bowl and mix the colour in it ...

7. And in the main batter I used a bit of yellow...

8. Now grease a tube pan and than dust it with some flour ... It help the cake to come out clean...

9. Pour some batter and than spoon your coloured batter ...

10. Again the next layer of main batter ...

11. Again add the colours and finish all the batter layering like this
and finally swirl the skewer in it for some pattern...

12. Oh my beautiful golden cake ... OK lets check the rainbow in it...

13. Oh it looks so beautiful.

Please come and have a nice cup of tea with this delicious cake...

It is very perfect for an afternoon tea with some nice tea or coffee ...
It is very light even after the little touch of cheese in it ...
You can eat as much as you like...

Hope you like it and share your opinions with me...
And I will wait anxiously for you responses and if anyone try this please let me know the result

HAPPY BAKING

Looks delicious Farah! I've never had shredded cheese in a cake. Is it similar to cream cheese?
